Lived short distance from them in Mission Viejo (sp) where Nancy and Kathy become close friends. Don Jr and my son are the same age. Nancy spent a week with Kathy in Yuma shortly before she passed away. How often do I think of them? Every day. Will get your book immediately. My best to you and Andy. I am a former squadron mate of his in 232 and in NBC; he in 333, me in 451 in the summer of '69. That's why we're all stuck with those stupid berets, which were originally supposed to be only for Special Forces. The flight suits offended the powers that be, so the new Army flight suit looks like the ACU's, only made out of Nomex and with zippered pockets. This happened around the same time all the services got crazy with changing their uniforms. The Marines were the only ones that did it right, although the ACU's are tolerable now that they've been through a couple of modifications. I thought the Air Force uniform was going to take the cake for silly, but the Navy took those honors with the blue berries they adopted... I'm sure multiple Meritorious Service Medals were awarded for the designers efforts. :-)Poguehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14844435158421387888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4512963158177331315.post-12554653463497834422012-04-26T21:55:30.871-07:002012-04-26T21:55:30.871-07:00Ouch.
